WELCOME TO THE TRY ANGLE AWARDS

Background
The Try Angle Awards® were established in 1995 in the Thanet Area of Kent to raise the profile of and "Recognise the Efforts and Achievements of Young People in the Area".

Since that time these awards have spread gradually until going 'Countywide' in 2001. Representatives of each area were then invited to the County Finals with a presentation being made to the overall winner of the Spirit of Try Angle Awards.

The awards have now been developed in many other parts of the UK and have been funded to date by contributions from local Councils, companies and organisations in each area who have sponsored various Award categories.

The Try Angle Award Foundation
The Try Angle Award Foundation has been established to oversee the development of the awards as they begin to spread nationally. The Foundation has registered the name The Try Angle Awards with the Patents Office as a registered Trade Mark and is a registered Charity.

The Chairman is Roger Gale MP.

Roger Gale

"The Try Angle Awards Foundation which I have the honour to chair, is grateful for the support received from Kent County Council and in particular the Youth & Community Service, Medway Council, Kent Police and BBC Radio Kent who have supported the development of the Awards over many years.

The Foundation is also grateful to all who have sponsored the development of the Awards locally either with financial or 'in kind' support and to our Patrons. Without their invaluable support The Try Angle Awards would not have grown to what is rapidly becoming a nationally recognised Awards' Scheme.

Thank you for your support."
